Texas Bluebonnets –
These are Texas Bluebonnets but you probably already know that. People talk about them a lot.
I like them too. They only grow in Texas just like this but they are a lupine which grows everywhere, just different kinds. Colorado has mountain lupines and they are pretty too. They are the first flower up in the spring and they are going like crazy right now in pastures and roadsides. But they go to seed and dry up and die in a few more weeks and you have to wait another year to see them again. That always makes me a little sad.
