Spring Storms –
This storm formation is called an anvil cloud. The severe storm inside it builds and builds until it gets so high that it flattens out on the bottom of the stratosphere. The stratosphere is about 6 miles high, so it makes the cloud look like an old-fashioned anvil with a wide flat top. It also looks like an atomic bomb. This kind of storm can produce large hail and tornadoes.
There may not be anything I love more than watching spring storms pop up and move across the land. Sometimes they tear things up, but they nourish the land with rain and make everyone feel hopeful. Plants grow and then they provide food for livestock and wildlife.
Where I live, you can never get enough rain.
