Crawdads –
Here are some crawdads I found in the river. They have great camouflage, don’t they? I found these in the Purgatoire river here in Colorado, but they live pretty much everywhere.
I’ve spent a good part of my life hunting for crawdads in creeks and rivers and lakes. All you do is wander along and turn over rocks in shallow water. You have to be fast with your hands to splash around in the water under the rock to get them. Just like coons do. They’ll sure pinch you, but it doesn’t hurt. It’s no big deal.
